About Kaitlyn

Hi, I’m Kaitlyn! A few years ago, I took a mug-making workshop with my cousin, and got hooked on pottery. I signed up for my first wheel class immediately after– and then took a second class, then a third, then a fourth. By then, I had so much pottery I had to start selling it, just to get it all out of my house.

Nowadays, I focus on wheel-thrown forms, occasionally supplementing with hand building. I like to make functional pieces with colorful designs, like mugs, matcha bowls, planters, and charms. I’m most known for my ceramic totes and purses, which I’ve been making since 2024.

I’m based in Charlottesville, Virginia, and currently sell my pottery at markets across central VA. I also teach wheel workshops and make custom pieces on request. Mostly I just try to take on projects that sound exciting (I love prototyping pottery to find the prefect design). For me, pottery is about having fun and experimenting!
